A new menu has been included in DHTML Menu Builder's samples section that showcases some of the new features that have been integrated in the past few versions, such as those based on CSS3 styles:

• DHTML Menu Builder 4.20.025 is released
  • Fixed bug that, under some circumstances, caused the Live Preview to fail to display the preview of the selected menu item.
  • Fixed some minor usability issues.
  • Added support to specify the roundness of the borders of toolbars, groups and commands.

    For a sample of this new feature, take a look at the menus on the forums. Before this feature was available we were using a custom AddIn to provide the support for the menus' rounded corners. Now, the menus don't use any special code or libraries... just DHTML Menu Builder.

• Engine 2.6.025 has been released
  • Removed all support for transparency and dropshadows based on the filter style in favor of the CSS3 equivalents. This means that the transparency and dropshadow effects are no longer supported on Internet Explorer 8 and below but all modern browsers will be able to render these styles when used in the menus.
  • Improved the code generated by the compiler in terms of size and compatibility with newer standards.

• DHTML Menu Builder 4.20.024 is released
  • Fixed some minor issues reported by various users working under pre-release versions of Windows 8.
  • Improved SEO code.
  • Added support to specify a margin to the left and right images so that these can be moved away from the menus' borders thus providing more control over the position of the images. As with all margins settings, these support both positive and negative values.
• Engine 2.6.024 has been released
  • Improved compatibility for iPhone, iPad and iPod devices as well as devices using the Android OS.

If you have worked with the new Core Audio APIs introduced with Windows Vista and also available in Windows 7 you may have noticed that Microsoft appears to have forgotten to include any means to change the default audio playback or recording device.

Well, the thing is that Microsoft didn't forget and this is "by design" as Microsoft feels that applications should not be able to change user defined settings.

This (bad) decision has left audio-related applications crippled when running under Windows Vista/7... up until now!
MixerProNET 2.1 introduces an extremely easy way to change the default audio device by simply controlling a Boolean property.

By simply setting the Selected property to true on any audio device, MixerProNET will set that particular device (or mixer, as known by MixerProNET's API) as the default device (or audio end point, as known by Core Audio's APIs).

Also available in version 2.1 is the introduction of a .NET User Control that mimics the look, feel and behavior of the TrackBar control used in Windows own mixer application.

Another compatibility issue has been discovered with Internet Explorer 9 which affects projects that utilize menus attached to hotspots.
